Horticulture

Expert care for gardens as they establish, mature and evolve.

From regular garden care and specialist horticulture to plant sourcing, establishment and ongoing development, we provide considered care for gardens across South Suffolk, North Essex and beyond.

Our horticultural work is grounded in practical experience, deep plant knowledge and an understanding of how gardens change through the seasons.

Garden Care

Ongoing care for gardens that deserve more than routine maintenance.

A well-designed garden needs thoughtful care to establish properly and mature beautifully.

Our horticultural team provides regular seasonal visits to keep plants healthy, well-maintained, and developing as intended. We work carefully within established gardens, maintaining their character while responding to what each season brings.

Rather than treating every garden the same, we consider the individual plants, growing conditions and changing needs of each space.

Specialist Horticulture

For the plants and tasks that need a more considered approach.

Some aspects of garden care require specialist knowledge, precision and timing.

We provide horticultural support for established gardens, including specialist pruning, plant health assessment, soil and growing-condition management and the seasonal care of individual plants.

Where larger-scale work is required, such as tree surgery, extensive hedge work or specialist lawn care, we can coordinate trusted contractors as part of the wider garden care service.

Garden Development

Gardens are living spaces. They change, develop and sometimes need a new direction.

As planting matures, gardens can evolve in ways that weren't anticipated at the beginning. A border may need refreshing, a planting scheme may need strengthening, or an underused part of the garden may have the potential to become something more.

Our horticultural team can work alongside the design studio to develop existing gardens through thoughtful planting, plant sourcing and ongoing improvement.

This might mean refreshing an established border, introducing new plants to strengthen existing planting, replacing plants that have outgrown their position, or gradually developing an area of the garden over time.

Some gardens need more than ongoing care. Where an existing garden would benefit from a considered new planting scheme, our Planting Design service can provide a complete design from initial concept through to planting and establishment.

Caring for what is already there.

Good horticulture isn't always about starting again. Mature trees, established shrubs and long-standing planting can give a garden its character. We look carefully at what is already growing, preserving what works and developing planting thoughtfully for the future across Suffolk and Essex.
